Duties and responsibilities

· Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans

· Monitor the financial performance of the company

· Compile and analyze financial reporting packages- In depth financial review

· Evaluating a company’s financial transactions to ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

· Reviewing financial statements to pinpoint possible fraud and errors

· Final reconciliations

· Work directly with tax preparers for corporate tax preparation

· Yearend Close

· Accounting compliance

· New Accounting policies for new services and activities

· Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures

· Provide leadership and support to accounting Manager and Accounting Operations Manager

· Keep up to date on current HR and Payroll trends

· Oversee the tax preparation

· Oversee the payroll preparation

· Additional Job Responsibilities may be required. Flexibility of job responsibilities is expected.

Qualifications

· MBA

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline

· Accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA or CA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education

· Minimum 10 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with at least 5 years experience in human resources

· Five years of payroll tax reporting and sales tax experience is required

· Impeccable analytical and organizational skills

· Self-motivated and self-directed

· Advanced Excel experience

· Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations and best practices

· Excellent understanding of governmental guidelines, tax laws that affect the company

· Highly organized with keen attention to detail

· Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Collaboration and teamwork skills

· Ethics - Keeps commitments and confidentiality

· Organizational Support - Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; Supports organization's goals and values

· Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities

· Ability to work closely with a senior management team

Working conditions

Job is performed in our corporate headquarters. Working hours generally are Monday – Friday 8:00a – 5:00p. Some overtime and weekend work may also apply on a week-to-week basis.

Physical requirements

Position requires sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
