Accounting Manager/Controller

Role Overview:
Accounting Manager/Controller to collect, analyze, and create reports for financial data.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Prepare and present financial data including monthly financial statements and forecasts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Oversee and direct the execution of daily functions of accounts payable, account receivable, cash management, sales, inventory, and month end accounting procedures.
• Coordinate with various departments and gather data to prepare annual budget.
• Contribute accounting information and make recommendations to strategic plans and review.
• Manage fleet documentation and all reporting including fuel tax, Form 2290’s, plates, mileage reporting, quarterly reporting and payments.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and propose implementation options.
• Monitor the integrity of the company’s cost system to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee the management of inventory. Identify and implement any inventory internal controls related to storage and shipment of finished goods. Update overhead rates annually.
• Provide analysis necessary to justify capital expenditure purchases or new company initiatives.
• Oversee the product certification requests provided to the customers.
• Oversee the production and distribution of 1099s.
• Provide guidance in matters of risk management.
• Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls.
• Oversee sales and use tax.
• Interface with outside accounting firm.
• Manage insurance coverage for business and employees.
• Oversee Company 401(k) plan and administration.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and managing Company financial strategy.
• Manage gross margins by customer and part numbers to Company strategies and budgets.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus 5+ years’ experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,347.00 - $100,247.00 per year
