The Gasparilla Inn & Club's Pink Elephant Restaurant is looking for a year round bartender.

• The duties of the Bartender is to service guests, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. The Bartender purpose is to ensure that the level of service provided to the guest is highly individualized and that each guest feels that their comfort and convenience are the principal concerns of The Gasparilla Inn.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, mixology recipes and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
• Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and all wines on the wine list.
• Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
• Maintain complete knowledge of table and seat numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.
• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.
• Maintain complete knowledge of Visual One and manual systems.
• Inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge guests even when busy.
• Maintain positive guest relations.
• Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry utilizing the Hours of Operations guide.
• Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcohol
• Food handling certificate
