ROLE PURPOSE

The Broadband Services Project Manager is responsible for planning and leading high-speed broadband projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget. This individual will establish the project scope, plan and designate project resources, prepare and track budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. This is a client-facing role; you will interact with government officials – town, county, and state – along with business owners. This is a leadership role that requires leadership skills such as negotiating, communicating, listening, influencing, conflict resolution and team building.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and direction to support project resources. Must be able to explain a technical solution to a non-technical person in a manner that is educational and inspiring
  • Lead the development and refinement of internal work processes regarding broadband projects. Documents and maintains internal processes and procedures related to CloudWyze ISP standards and solutions
  • Define project milestones and deliverables and create a work breakdown structure (WBS) to clearly define the level of effort and resources needed to complete all required tasks
  • Monitor all project activities and provide regular reporting to defined stakeholder groups to convey project status, gather project performance feedback, manage expectations, and ensure project alignment with established requirements.
  • Resolve any issues and manage risks through the life cycle of all projects by following established project and system development methodologies, risk mitigation strategies and approved problem resolution procedures.
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements. Track project costs to meet budget or report project overages
  • Maintain a strong, positive relationship with clients and effectively communicate project matters. Will also ensure successful completion of all projects and assist the team in reaching target by providing business / technical expertise as required
  • Vendor management - manage contracts, performance, and invoices with vendors and suppliers
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Foster an environment for clear communication, synchronized activities, and established processes for issue resolution and change control.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with project personnel and stakeholder groups.

EXPERIENCE

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required: 5-7 years of Project Management experience required3-5 years of experience with fixed wireless and fiber project implementations
  • Preferred: PMP certification, PMI-ACP certification, or Agile Scrum
  • Preferred: Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet or related project management software
  • Preferred: 2 years’ experience with Federal, state, and local regulations in the telecom space

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
