As a Business Consultant, you will perform predictive and prescriptive data analyses to enable decision making by senior NSA leaders. Business Consultant responsibilities include: - Evaluating the nature and quality of cost data sources and their relevance to analyses; recommending improvements to and use of data sources. - Devising strategies for extracting meaning and value from requirements documentation and/or large datasets. - Translating practical mission needs and analytic questions related to large datasets into technical requirements. - Employing analytic tools, templates, and processes to provide management with viable alternatives for informed decision-making, including, but not limited to, trend and forecast analysis, cost analysis, and gap analysis. - Supporting strategic business planning and decision-making, to include drawing appropriate conclusions, from detailed, data-based analyses. - Effectively communicating complex technical information and analysis through varied visualization and presentation methods.
Job Summary
In support of the Agency as a whole, the Business Analysis group leverages financial analytic tools to facilitate data collection management, data and cost analysis, advanced analytic studies, metrics, and forecasting. This organization provides cost/financial data and analyses to enable senior leader resource decision making.
Qualifications
The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Degree in a Business Field (e.g., Program Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Economics) or a Technical Field (e.g., Engineering, Systems Management, Computer Science, and Information Technology) preferred. Relevant experience must be in program management (e.g., trend and forecast analysis, earned value management, cost benefit analysis, balanced scorecard, activity based costing, life cycle cost estimating, activity based budgeting, and gap analysis). Managing DoD and IC sponsored programs is preferred. DAWIA II in program management or equivalent certification is preferred. Formal or informal supervisory experience is preferred. SENIOR Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. EXPERT Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary offers are based on candidates' education and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Salary ranges vary by work level. Salary Range: $112,015 - $183,500 (Senior to Expert Level) On-the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible)
