The Business Development Lead is responsible for identifying business opportunities for our technology, developing customers, and creating strategies for growing the business.

Business Development Lead - Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, and monitor potential business opportunities associated with Diode Laser Technologies.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of technology, market and product trends, and shape associated requirements.
  • Develop and execute plans for the development of new business fields and new product opportunities. Self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential new business opportunities.
  • Identify and cultivate relationship with potential lead customers in these new business fields and markets.
  • Coordinate with R&D, product management and sales to ensure that updated or new company technologies/capabilities match with new and emerging business opportunities.
Business Development Lead - Position Requirements
  • B.S. with 5+ years industry experience is required or M.S. in physics, engineering with 3+ years
  • Strong understanding of lasers, optics, or semiconductor technology, and/or of relevant markets.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%
  • Prior experience or demonstrated ability working with customers on technical and/or commercial topics.
  • Able to speak and present on marketing and industry trends.
