Overview:
Develop commercial supply chain for non-hazardous fuels and raw material supply into preprocessing facilities for preparation and use in cement kilns or complementary re-use/third party markets. Oversee business development and sales function for the assigned business unit. Typical activities include identifying, engaging, and pre-qualifying leads, contracting new clients, managing client relationships, and proposing/rolling out commercial strategies to grow volume and maximize value delivered.
This role includes a large territory that support plants in Utah and Colorado. Client base extends from the Southwest US to the West coast to the Pacific Northwest. Experience or exposure in the territory to industry segments including recycling, waste management, non-hazardous solid and liquid streams, beneficial reuse, environmental services, or similar is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develops commercial relationships within the market to support existing and upcoming alternative fuel and raw
material programs in the territory. Responsible for client identification, prequalification, and retention.
- Identifies, develops, and manages new business opportunities.
- Leads and owns all aspects of existing and prospective client relationships, including key account management
- Optimize revenues and margins by understanding options available to clients, existing prices, transportation costs,
and capacity availability in order to establish effective pricing within established guidelines
- Oversees new and existing account services through quality checks and other follow-up as specified per
department requirements; identifies and resolves client concerns.
- Exhibits strategic awareness of industry and marketplace including knowledge of trends in territory, upcoming
events, closings, follow-up, reports on special developments, information, concerns or feedback
gathered through field activity
- Build upon client relationships and ensure a smooth creation, execution, assessment, and ongoing enhancement of client’s needs
- Maintains market information related to competition, client base, and future opportunities
- Provides operational guidance and issue resolution for clients
- Represent company in industry organizations
- Protect the company’s receivables on all contracts to limit bad debt exposure, while managing credit
and accounts receivable process for clients with support from credit and billing teams.
- Addresses and resolves client service inquiries, requests, and complaints
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work
environments and areas
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
Interacts and builds collaboration with quality, production, process, and environmental managers at the cement
plants. Supports and works with Geocycle Customer Service Reps and Facility Managers. Communicates leads
outside their region to other Sales Representatives.
Qualifications:
Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in demonstrated experience
Field of Study Preferred: Marketing, Business Administration, Environmental/Sustainability or Engineering or related fields
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years
Required Computer and Software Skills:Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
Travel Requirements: 50% local and regional travel
Additional Requirements:
- Proven capability in building a pipeline of new customers with volumes and revenues increasing year-over-year

- Experience in supplier relationship management.
- Experience within the waste management, recycling, and /or waste fuels industry is a plus.
