Covenant Physician Partners is hiring a Business Intelligence Specialist to join our Business Intelligence team in Nashville, TN.

About the Opportunity

Works directly with internal departments to understand data needs and build solutions to assist the company in meeting its corporate mission. Leads the design and development of internal dashboards and applications using Qlik, Smartsheet, and database tools. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be willing to ask higher-ups tough questions, and be extremely customer service oriented. Enjoys the process of discovery and solving problems for others in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Translate client requirements into a technical solution and document data model and application specifications.
• Work with clients and vendors to define data/system connections, typically SQL or APIs, and ongoing data governance.
• Design, develop, and maintain data collection scripts, dashboards, and applications.
• Develop compelling UI through the use of various data visualizations; work with end users to refine visualizations and reporting to meet defined business needs.
• Perform unit and system testing.
• Perform data analysis and data validation on a variety of source systems and assist our Data Engineer with ETL and data warehousing.
• Manage user accounts and licensing on Business Intelligence platforms.
• Train and support power analysts on self-service features.
• Administer Qlik servers and monitor reliability and performance; includes occasional night and weekend work to avoid impacting users.
• Track, document, and resolve requests and change control using a Support Desk ticket system.
• Mentor other team members.

About the Candidate

• At least two (2) years of experience developing Qlik applications
• Master level SQL query skills for data discovery and efficient data collection
• BA/BS in computer engineering, computer science, data science, etc. or commensurate experience in Qlik and business intelligence
• Experience with scripting, basic HTML, or Smartsheet applications a plus
• Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• A professional appearance and demeanor is essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage/forecast individual time with minimal oversight.
