Job Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders and follow-up on delivery
• Analyze requirements, plan and place POs with Asian manufacturing facility
• Analyze inventory and make recommendations to achieve inventory objectives for raw materials and finished goods items
• Interact with US and Asian suppliers on procurement and scheduling issues
• Review open orders and follow-up on deliveries
• Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers
• Coordinate outside material processing and DMR returns and credits
• Pick-up and deliver parts/supplies from local suppliers as required
• Expedite POs and shipments as necessary to meet production requirements
• Assist with freight documentation and planning for inbound and outbound materials (US and International shipments)

Job Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel pivot tables (required)
• Analytical ability and data entry skills in a manufacturing, retail or distribution environment (required)
• Knowledge of MRP with a manufacturing company helpful
• Experience reading bill of materials (BOM) and engineering drawings helpful
• Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains inventory module and/or SQL Reports experience helpful (highly desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal, phone and communication skills (required)
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization (manufacturing, accounting, engineering, executive management, sales and marketing)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic purchasing environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously (required)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or applicable discipline
