Overview:
Reports to: Commercial Documentation and Servicing Manager
Functions Supervised: None
Primary Functions: Perform a variety of duties associated with loan documentation, loan funding, and file imaging for commercial loans. Back up for the Commercial Lending Support Specialist and Commercial Loan and Collateral Servicing Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform or be able to perform all the duties and responsibilities of a Commercial Loan Documentation and Funding Specialist I, II, and III.

Responsible for posting payments, payoffs, loan advances and fees.

Responsible for reviewing assigned credit memos and any attachments to understand the loan request, and determine documents required to produce the loan according to Alaska USA’s loan guidelines, policies, and federal regulations.

Responsible for the preparation of non-complex, complex, AIDEA and SBA 504 loan documents necessary to document a loan and perfect the required lien position.

Responsible for funding and boarding the assigned loans to the core loan system.

Process fees and crediting appropriate GL's, LIP's, and paying third party vendors for collateral perfection.

Image all documents related to the above duties and responsibilities using Document Manager or iLinx.

Maintain and follow up on pending files to ensure all documents have been obtained related to the loan closing and funding.

Balance GL’s and LIP’s used by Commercial Services, working with Commercial Operations to investigate outages and make corrections.

Assist with non-complex and complex MRMS requests from branches, departments and other BCS employees, such as loan document copies, check copies, IRS form copies, interest accrual calculations, payment history rebuilds, payment recasts, and tvalue scenarios.

Review File Error reports in Document Manager, initiating corrections, and follow-up on issues.

Assist in training Commercial Loan Documentation and Funding Specialist I, II, and III.

Create new procedures and policies and update existing procedures for Commercial Services Administration.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable
Experience/Skills: A minimum of three years in loan closing, collateral perfection and/or loan documentation experience. Must have general to advanced working knowledge and understanding of lending practices to include loan documentation, perfection of security interest, lines of credit, loan closing procedures, disbursements, and compliance regulations. Ability to present information orally and in writing to all levels of credit union personnel, and members in a positive manner. Ability to read and understand technical procedures and governmental regulations and communicate the same to others. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to respond to members over the telephone and in person professionally and accurately. Needs to have strong math aptitude and customer service skills with the ability to independently answer questions concerning loan information. Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail. Must be organized, detail oriented and utilize general computer concepts. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate and communicate payment and payoff amounts.
Tenure: Commercial Loan Documentation and Funding Specialist IV, Category 11. Requires twelve months in the Commercial Loan Documentation and Funding Specialist III, or Commercial Loan and Collateral Servicing Specialist III position, with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.

Commercial Loan Documentation and Funding Specialist III (Category 12): $48,387 - $73,549 annually

Commercial Loan Documentation and Funding Specialist IV (Category 11): $52,258 - $81,523 annually

Senior Commercial Loan Documentation and Funding Specialist (Category 10): $57,484 - $90,825 annually
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
