POSITION SUMMARY:

The Customer Experience (CX)/User Experience (UX) Designer is responsible for designing intuitive, attractive an engaging user journey and will focus on the software experience by the customers and users respectively. The CX/UX Designer will design the interactions a user has with the FPI/Edison brand by ensuring quality in deliverables that meet company goals and initiatives. At FPI/Edison, we focus on customer experience first, followed by user experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The CX/UX Designer is responsible for the following activities aligned the area(s) of responsibility assigned:

  • The CX/UX Designer will analyze use cases to create wireframes and final designs for websites, portals and applications. Wireframe designs need to consider screen size and audience. All user experiences will generally be designed with a mobile first design, but also include designs for tablet and desktop experiences. Wireframes will also vary by audience and generally include underwriting, producer, and consumer focused screens.
  • Collaborate with team members, technical leads, and other stakeholders to iterate and clarify requirements
  • Translate complex requirements into clear and easy user experiences
  • Create storyboards, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, user flows, information architecture diagrams, or other artifacts required to build shared understanding across cross-functional teams and communicate vision and final requirements to internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members to guide execution and navigate technical constraints and tradeoffs while bringing UX/UI designs to life
  • Collaborate with the QA Team, enabling them to develop usability test scripts
  • Maintain system documentation as required

  • Demonstrated experience engaging in creative problem solving and taking initiative while utilizing a solutions-oriented approach and exhibiting flexibility and good judgment in a complex organizational ecosystem.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, or equivalent education or work experience
  • 5+ years of digital design experience
  • 3+ years' UX/CX experience
  • 1+ years experience in documenting and communicating accessibility requirements for the development hand-off of your UX designs
  • A portfolio highlighting UX design work and your process of designing and developing for mobile responsive web applications or enterprise software
  • Experience with UX industry-leading software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with insurance, insurance products, rules and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of agile software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of the Duck Creek UX design and canvas utility (Also known as “UX3”)

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong ability to multi-task, manage and report on multiple projects.
  • Highly organized self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent presentation skills
