DENTAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

The Dental Operations Manager is responsible for implementing the best practice and developing processes across the organization. The key fundamentals of this role include formulating strategy, improving performance, managing resources, and ensuring compliance. This is a leadership role that will mentor team members, increase production, and implement best practices across clinical locations. The successful candidate will possess a depth of experience that helps excel in the areas of compliance, efficiency, and profitability in a cross-functional approach to business growth. This person will also be responsible for helping facilitate new office growth and creating the team in new locations. This Role reports directly to the Owner.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Manage all day-to-day operations of assigned territory including employee relations, patient relations, and achieving operational goals
• Implement new directives for growth, while managing budgets and forecasts
• Build effective relationships with doctors, upper management, and support team members
• Serve as liaison between the corporate office and the field
• Achieve revenue goals by effectively leading the office teams
• Ensure successful execution of operational standards, in compliance with state, federal, and established company policies and procedures
• Maintain oversight at the practice level of overall office and team member hours daily and weekly in order to make effective staffing recommendations
• Monitor revenue margins
• Analyze practice performance and recruit, train, and supervise team members
• Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
• Lead strategic financial and operational objectives to improve profitability
• Lead the hiring and firing

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Proven work experience as dental operations manager or similar role in dentistry
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and dental operations management
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting
• Familiarity with business and financial principles
• Ability to motivate, influence, and coach teams to success
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism in difficult and stressful situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• BS Degree in Business, Dental Operations Management or related field (Required)
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental practice management (Required)
• 3+ years of experience managing team members in dentistry (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Requires travel between assigned offices

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
