Job Description
- Based in San Dimas, CA. and may attend NHRA national events to provide coverage for all of NHRA’s content platforms.
- Capture, curate, edit, and distribute photos across all NHRA platforms.
- Provide in-house photographic services such as corporate portraits and product photography.
- Upload, sort, tag, and distribute NHRA photos using Photo Mechanic digital asset management software.
- Travel to and attend National Events as needed to take photographs and perform other duties as assigned. Travel is estimated at this time to be 3 events per year, approximately 3 work days per event, plus travel.
- Create online and social media content using shot and edited photos.
- Retouch, resize and enhance images as needed using Photoshop.
- Work with NHRA.com and National Dragster staff to create content for website and magazine.
- Professional photography experience including motorsports photography.
- Photo portfolio of cars, racing action photos, and candid personality photos of people.
- Digital asset management software experience with Photo Mechanic.
- Keen eye for detail and a well-developed artistic and creative aesthetic.
- Familiarity with Nikon/Canon cameras and lenses.
- Strong photographic skills, digital asset management workflow experience, and be able to create social media and online posts.
- Ability to do required travel and to work non-traditional hours at non-traditional locations including weekends at our national events.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of management both in writing and verbally.
Plus Factors:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Photoshop and other photographic software such as Bridge
- Motorsports enthusiast and/or a strong social media background with substantial followers
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk or stand for 12 hours during race events in extreme weather.
