GMSS is looking to add per diem support staff to one of our teams providing around the clock care for an individual we serve in the Lamoille County area. GMSS is a Specialized Service Agency (SSA) located in Morrisville and St. Johnsbury, Vermont who prides itself on providing person-centered services and supports to individuals with disabilities within their communities.

The ideal candidate is team player who has some level of experience and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioral intervention, Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC), & diabetes management. With that said, we are also more than willing to train those without experience who are team oriented and interested in learning. You will be expected to work some weekends, nights and holidays.

Duties include:

Transportation (individual has their own van for staff to drive), communication support, managing challenging behaviors associated with ASD, diabetic care (blood sugar checks & insulin administration), medication delegation, community integration, daily behavioral, medical & communication data collection, and working closely with the individual’s team.

This position requires at least a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. Additionally, applicants will need to be able to pass a background check.

Pay starts at $18.50/ hour with immediate $1.50/hour raise upon completion of required training for the job.
