We are looking for a motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) who will work to improve, enrich, and empower the lives of individuals with developmental, physical and mental disabilities.

A direct support professional plays a vital role in maintaining an individual’s health and wellness. Duties of the direct support professional include assisting with personal cares (bathing, toileting, grooming, hygiene, etc.), mobility support and transfer assistance, transportation and support for community outings and activities, medication administration, housekeeping/cleaning duties, and meal preparation. The ideal candidate should be able to read and write English, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, take initiative, and work independently. If you have previous experience in providing care to individuals with disabilities, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Direct Support Professional will develop and maintain professionally appropriate therapeutic relationships with each client and the client’s family and maintain positive working relations with staff and other related persons to ensure services are delivered in a smooth and effective manner.

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and handle postural challenges like bending, kneeling, and twisting
• The ability to pass a criminal background and motor vehicle record check
• A willingness to work hard and a desire to help others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to pass and obtain certification in medication administration, CPR/First Aid (training provided upon employment)
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Compassion and a desire to help others
