Front of House Dining Room Manager:

Wake up excited about coming to work. The Palazzo is an independently owned senior living community, with all levels of care. At The Palazzo we believe in supporting each other through communication, team work, and loyalty.

The Palazzo is looking for an experienced manager to provide assistances to the Director of Dining Services. The manager will be responsible to train, and follow through with front of the house staff to ensure standards and expectations are met.

Minimum 3 years front of house experience, with 1 year supervisory experience.

Positive and energetic attitude is necessary.

Qualifications:

§ High School Diploma or equivalent.

§ Minimum 3 years dining services experience, with 1 year supervisory experience.

§ Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.

§ Have current Adult First Aid card & CPR Certification for employment and maintain throughout length of employment.

Essential Functions:

§ Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of The Palazzo.

§ Oversees meals to residents and guests of the community.

§ Maintains both the general and private dining room (table set up, cleanliness, décor, etc.)

§ Greets residents and guests when seated.

§ Escorts those residents who may need some assistance to their seating area.

§ Assists servers as much as needed to ensure that all residents have a wonderful experience.

§ Responds to all residents’ requests for meal and beverages in a courteous and timely manner.

§ Follows all rules and regulations of the Health Department and ensures that Servers do the same.

§ Assists with tray delivery service, when needed.

§ Assists with light food preparation such as, making sandwiches, cutting fruit or vegetables, making desserts, etc.

§ Makes sure all staff schedules are prepared two weeks ahead of time and that side duties are printed daily.

§ Immediately reports to supervisor any resident change of condition, such as: not eating, eating less, difficulty swallowing, and not present at meal times, etc.

§ Makes sure all servers are doing their jobs properly and makes certain to address any resident issues immediately.

§ Performs other duties as deemed necessary.

§ Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in The Palazzo’s Code of Conduct, The Palazzo policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
§ Ability to work as a member of a team.

§ Ability to maintain confidentiality.

§ Ability to read, speak, understand, and communicate effectively in English through verbal and written means.

§ Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.

§ Ability to be patient and polite.

§ Ability to read, write and speak basic English and understand questions from residents and family members; give and receive directions on work related tasks, most importantly fires, disasters, emergency situations and poisonous, hazardous/quarantine materials information.

§ Able to follow written and verbal directions and apply practical problem solving skills.

§ Positive and energetic attitude.

§ Professional in appearance and conduct..

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
