Sherman Specialty is a family owned company located in Syosset, NY. We are seeking to fill a full time position responsible for creating digital proofs for our customers, answering customer emails, and providing support to the pre-press and production team. This position plays an important role when preparing files to be a 2D representation of a 3D item.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manipulate, and edit Illustrator files from customers

· Performs quality control functions on imposed digital files for plate-making distribution

· Performs all assigned work efficiently, accurately, and on schedule to ensure presses meet production schedule

· Communicates effectively to the appropriate departments to ensure work continuity

· Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

· Willing to be a team player and take on duties as needed by the supervisor

Job Requirements

· Working knowledge of PC computers

· Strong working knowledge of all industry desktop software of the Adobe Creative Suite. Illustrator is a must

· Ability to manage all phases of proofing production, from loading fonts to color separations (spot colors)

· Working knowledge of networking, file transfers and portable media
