In this position you will be building a fiber optic network SE Wisconsin. You will install mainline in the road right of way and install connections to homes. We are building our own network, not contracting for a big phone/cable company. We have been in the Internet business since 1995 and we have been doing fiber since 2019. We are a family-owned business and a small outside plant crew. At this point all crew members work together to get it done be it horizontal directional drilling, vibratory plowing, setting vaults with a mini excavator, or operating the vacuum excavator to pothole utility crossings. You will use a hand shovel daily.

A Class A-CDL is preferred for this position. At a minimum, you must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a company vehicle (DOT), pass a background check, and drug test. If you have a DUI/OWI it is difficult for us to get you on our insurance.

This position will pay $25 to start. If you have a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement it will pay $27/hr to start, underground construction experience is a consideration, leadership ability is a consideration. There is room for growth in pay and responsibility as you grow with the company.

All work is local work. No winter layoffs in 2019, 2020, nor 2021.
