The Phlebotomist will join a tight-knit, rural 100-bed community hospital. This facility is fully accredited through the Joint Commission and has received Golden Seals of approval for their hip and knee replacement programs. They are also accredited by the Commission on Cancer and recently completed a hospital expansion to include a brand new Health and Wellness center and a state of the art Medical Pavilion, the likes of which are normally found only in large metropolitan cities- all in rural Ohio!

Under the limited supervision of the Laboratory Director, the Phlebotomist will perform a variety of routine blood drawing procedures, interact with patients of varying ages and draw sites, and review and complete physician orders for all lab testing.

The Hospital Phlebotomist will have the ability to prioritize workload from various departments and work cross functionally to support department goals and resources. They will be a team player who will help to orient new laboratory staff when necessary and demonstrate the ability to multitask and stay focused in an environment with frequent interruptions. These duties will be performed during the second shift of 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, including a $2.50 shift differential to base!

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• Phlebotomy School graduate or Phlebotomy Certification within 6 months
• Experience in phlebotomy preferred
