Cenvar Roofing an immediate opening for a local Human Resource Assistant in Lynchburg, Virginia. This full-time opportunity will be responsible for assisting the Human Resource Manager with sourcing & screening candidates, employee onboarding, as well as assisting with other Human Resource related duties.

Essential Responsibilities

• Creating and posting job ads.
• Screening job applicants.
• Performing candidate pre-interviews.
• Scheduling/participating in interviews (travel required).
• Managing employee satisfaction and data.
• Updating employee contracts and job descriptions.
• Providing support to the HR Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will have the following skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field (preferred).
• At least two years of previous HR work experience.
• Experience building and driving talent attraction initiatives.
• Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, actively listen and ask pertinent questions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Benefits:

• Competitive salary: $40,000 - $45,000 per year.
• Comprehensive benefits package that includes 401k, Medical, & Dental.
• Paid time off plus 8 paid holidays (1 week paid after 1 year of service, 2 weeks paid after 2 years of service, 8 paid holidays immediately).
