Provide full range Human Resources direction and support for Sayre Christian Village, a non-profit, continuing care retirement community located in Lexington, Kentucky. Reporting to the CEO, this position will provide Human Resource leadership in the management of the organization’s employee relations, recruitment, retention, performance management, compensation and benefits, safety and health, workers’ compensation, and all human resource policies and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to help achieve HR goals and objectives
· Work to maintain, develop and deliver HR policies and procedures across the organization
· Ensure organization is in compliance with all local, state and federal government rules and regulations
· Manage all employee benefits, annual negotiations, and benefit vendor relationships
· Provide support to all employees on all benefit related questions
· Strong knowledge of workers compensation and claim management
· Assist with department budgeting including training, safety, benefits and related activities
· Build strong partnerships with employees at all levels to foster trust and accountability, ensuring that HR needs are met in a timely manner and with the highest level of customer service
· Provide guidance, coaching, and resolution to employee relation matters, i.e. discipline, conflict management, absenteeism, motivation, conflict
· Manage and perform all recruitment and retention initiatives
· Oversee new employee onboarding and orientation
· Perform day-to-day HR administrative tasks insuring compliance and accuracy
· Coordinate special employee event activities
· Possess working generalist experience in HR
· Handle personnel issues with confidentiality and respect
· Capacity to work independently and in team settings with concentration on the goal and common good
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to multi-task
· Sound decision making and problem solving skills
· Supervises the staff of the human resource department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree required, in human resources, general business, or related field
· Minimum of 5- 8+ years of experience in progressive levels of human resources or equivalent
· PHR or SPHR preferred
· Advanced working knowledge using ADP Workforce Now desired
· Advanced user of Microsoft Office
· Experience working for a stand-alone, non-profit organization desired
· Experience working in healthcare and senior living strongly desired
