Wilson Trailer Company, an industry leader in trailer manufacturing, has a full-time opening for a Human Resource Manager in their Yankton, South Dakota location.
This position will team with Plant Management in support of lean manufacturing initiatives, safety management, employee engagement, employee recognition, productivity levels, and the overall strategic growth of the manufacturing facility. Provide advice and counsel to employees in alignment with company policies and procedures. Provide feedback to functional managers to ensure appropriate resolutions are achieved based on company Policy and Procedure. Ensure compliance with employment related laws, regulations, and contract bargaining agreements if applicable.
Essential Functions include:

• Oversee management of Human Resource functions, which includes Employee Relations, Benefits, Worker’s Compensation, LOA, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Wage and Payroll, policy and procedure administration within the manufacturing facility.
• Oversee and maintain effective Employee Relations among employees and Supervisors/Managers.
• Counsel and facilitate coaching sessions to ensure lines of communication are continuously open.
• Develop and administer human resource plans and procedures.
• Manage recruitment efforts for salaried and hourly staff, new employee orientations, etc.
• Manage annual Benefits Open Enrollment, Payroll, Employee Record Management, HR Reports and various audits as required.
• Observe employee safety and interaction with team members and/or supervisor to determine areas of continuous improvement.
• Accountable for policy, procedure and program revisions and development including, succession planning, employee handbook, worker’s compensation, training, wage administration, security management, Contract Bargaining Agreement Administration-if applicable, and other HR related matters.
• Supports safety initiatives and enforces safety regulations.
• May Supervise, Coach, and or Mentor HR Generalist or other direct reports if applicable.
• Team with Director of HR for additional projects as requested or directed.
