iOS Developer

We are looking for a skilled iOS developer. Once hired you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of iOS apps that integrate seamlessly with REST back-end/WSDL services. We offer a competitive salary and the job is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build applications for the iOS platform
• Work with Health Insurance based Fintech services.
• Work with popular APIs like Uber, stripe and Google Maps platform.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of apps.
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Integrate the app with existing backend services.
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Able to attend all Team Meetings and facilitate if necessary
• Shipping app updates, including bug fixes and additional features.
• Collaborating with UI and UX Designers, as well as Software Testers, to ensure that our app is presentable and in perfect working order
• Resolve technical issues brought up by users

Competencies

• Proficient with Objective-C or Swift
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs/WSDL to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, Mercurial or SVN)
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Comfortable working in a zsh/bash on macOS
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• Must have great English communication skills both written and verbal
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology
• 5-6 years experience as an iOS developer
