Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides direct support for the applications and hardware used throughout the Division. Works directly with the Director of IT on more sophisticated issues and projects where applicable. The position is also responsible for computer operation tasks that need to be completed in the data center when assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install and start up all IT hardware and applicable software programs at all parkwide hospitality operations throughout Glacier National Park.
- Manages IT hardware and/ or applicable software programs.

Understands systems issues and can prioritization them according to SLA set forth.

Communicates with providers and vendors to address outages, etc
-
Responsible for oversight of computers and related peripheral equipment in the computer room and throughout the entire division including POS Hardware.

Oversees maintenance of records and logs associated with computer processes.

Helps to ensure integrity of programs, files and databases
-
Can be assigned to act as the Technical Advisor on Duty in the absence of the Director of IT.

Participates in the on-call duty rotation for after-hours support.
-
Works with software and hardware support personnel towards the resolution of problems.
-
Installs and maintains personal computers and software as requested.

Works in conjunction with the Director of IT to maintain and troubleshoot network systems.

Assists the Director of IT in the day-to-day operation of the computer facility.

Assists the Director of IT with the completion of all Audits and maintaining security standards.
-
Develops and modifies reports using a variety of report writer programs used throughout the property if deemed necessary by senior management.

Provide support and assistance to the Xanterra Incident Response Team as needed and requested.
-
Strong understanding of computer imaging processes.
-
Familiar with onboarding employees via Active Directory, Office 365, etc.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May need to assist in hardware maintenance on other application servers, arrays, SAN, and other equipment.

May need to assist in server patching requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

Knowledge – Provides knowledge on Information Technology, Project Management and Administrative Responsibilities needed to successfully support the assigned location(s).

Leadership – Serves as supportive leader for the department and the organization as a whole on areas concerning technologies and other spheres of influence.
- Analytical Skills – Demonstrates strong analytical skills including the ability to plan complex system-related projects.

Technical Skills – Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and desktop software is required.

Security Knowledge – Knowledge of IT security compliance requirements.

Documentation Toolset Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products is required.

Applications Experience – Experience with the following technologies or similar systems is preferred: Opera Property Management system, Lawson ERP, Raymark Retail Systems, Simphony Food & Beverage Systems, FoodTrak Food & Beverage Inventory, PBX/Telephone Systems and TV/Cable Systems. In addition, knowledge of computer hardware also required.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Must possess 5+ years of related IT experience, with demonstrated project management skills.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology, Hospitality Administration and/or Accounting
- Background in hospitality-based IT systems

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification
-
Prior experience with Payment Card Industry compliance requirements is preferred
-
Significant work experience can substitute for formal education.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, standing, stooping and bending regularly is required, as well as the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: May be exposed to unusual temperature ranges (both cool and hot). The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Minimal travel outside the property may be required. Ability to drive long distances or be in a vehicle for long time periods due to slow traffic patterns within the park. Must be able to be on location or accessible via remote connectivity technology.
