An Engineering Leadership Role with Assembly, Test, and Validation in West Palm Beach, FL is currently available at Belcan. You will be expected to provide innovative solutions to special assembly processes for gas turbine engines and contribute to the efficient execution of both new and legacy engine test programs. This is a leadership position focused on validating engine systems, while mentoring and developing a team, and requires a high degree of interaction with skilled technicians and other engineers. The position has significant exposure to senior management levels at both Belcan and customers, and your ability to excel can rapidly lead to advancement within the company. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Assembly & Test Engineer job duties include:

• Assist with and orchestrate teardown, assembly, and rebuild of commercial and military gas turbine engines at customer facility, on the assembly shop floor.
• Quickly come up to speed on customer processes and be ready to train younger engineers.
• Interact with and lead Technicians, Quality Engineers, Integrated Product Team members, Assembly Management, and Material Procurement personnel to generate engineering solutions to complex assembly/test problems
• Provide technical support of gas turbine engines throughout assembly, test evaluation and disassembly
• Ensure compliance with engineering standard work for these activities and be responsible for completion of all associated requirements within standard work
• Responsible for borescoping activities along with fully understanding all test instrumentation, test setup, and assembly processes and tooling

Job Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline with 5+ years of experience (aerospace, gas turbine preferred)
• Requires a highly enthusiastic, self-starter that is team oriented and has excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Shift work required, including possible evening and overnight shifts; some weekend/holiday work is expected
• Must be comfortable working with and presenting complex technical information cross-functionally in a team environment as well as individually
• Must be comfortable with light physical labor (lift 40 lbs) and able to traverse stairs.
• Due to the nature of the work, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, assembly and disassembly processes, manufacturing, tooling, and instrumentation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and product specifications is highly desirable
