We are a small bar & grill looking for a line cook located along the Mississippi River in Diamond Bluff, WI.

We've got the best team of Line Cooks/prep Cooks in town! We're looking for passionate and eager candidates who are willing to work hard, have fun and grow in their careers. Our cooks are responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality food and working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities may include:

• Set up and stocking with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow instruction from kitchen manager/owner.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Prepare and package food for delivery.
• Prepare food by seasoning, cutting, and cooking.
• Follow recipe instructions.
• Prepare meals in advance; hold and store using proper methods.

Skills

• Some proven cooking experience as line cook is preferred, but we will train the right candidate
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Candidate must possess a desire to make good food for our guests.

Benefits

• Starting compensation (AFTER training) will be based on experience.
