Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Responsible for compounding and dispensing of medications in accordance with all State and Federal Laws
2. Reviews all medication orders for appropriate and rational therapy; checking for proper dosages, potential drug interactions, adverse reactions, and duplicate therapies
3. Understands internal policies and procedures for checking all types of drug orders; including but not limited to: formulary concepts, various drug packaging systems, automatic reorder systems, C-II dispensing
4. Understands basic workflow concepts to insure consistency of daily operations
5. Understands the concepts involved with backup pharmacies, on-call, and couriers
6. Possesses basic computer skills; including but not limited to: Framework, ECM, WMS, internet access, e-mail, and intranet
7. Maintains professionalism in the workplace, on the telephone, and whenever representing Diamond Pharmacy Services
8. Willing to accept additional responsibilities when requested
9. Understands Joint Commission policies and procedures and how they affect Diamond Pharmacy Services’ daily operation
10. Maintains the confidentiality of all patient and company information in accordance with HIPAA Regulations
Qualifications:
Education:
* Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
* B.S. degree or Pharm D Degree with associate clinical experience during internships/externships, advanced degree in clinical pharmacy, or equivalent work experience.
* Licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania.
Experience/Knowledge:
* Currently in compliance with mandatory continuing education requirements.
* Ability to maintain control in stressful situations and offer leadership as a supervisor.
* Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people to result in constructive working relationships.
* Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
* People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others.
Physical Requirements:

A. May lift/carry 0-20 lbs frequently
B. Stand/walks 50% of the time
C. Sits 50% of the time
D. Drives a car/truck 0-2 hours
