JOB POSITION: Manager or Director, Product and Development

We are hiring a Manager or Director, Product & Development to join our growing team!

Velox Technologies LLC provides service to the registered broker-dealers and RIAs of the Velox-Zinvest group of companies. Velox Clearing is a FINRA and SEC regulated correspondent-clearing securities broker dealer that provides API-first execution, clearing, custody, and prime brokerage services to broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, and other institutional clients. Velox is a member of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, the Options Clearing Corporation, New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, Chicago Board Options Exchange, Investors’ Exchange, the Securities Investor Protection Corporation, and Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Zinvest Financial is an SEC registered investment advisor (RIA), and Zinvest Global is member of the Securities & Futures Commission of Hong Kong.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals

· Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage

· Build quality assurance and data protection processes

· Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance

· Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology

· Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors

· Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and implementation processes.

· Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.

· Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.

· Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.

· Strives to improve efficiency of processes and architecture.

· Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.

· Attends trade shows and conferences and makes site visits to clients’ premises as needed.

· Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.

· Maintains high level expertise in software architecture and technical programming languages, and some background knowledge of securities clearing.

· Assures that processes meet quality and compliance objectives.

· Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.

· Forges and maintains relationships with vendors and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· 4-5 years relevant work experience

• Proven experience as an engineering manager or similar leadership role

· Expert-level knowledge of software architecture, technology and ideally, securities clearing and/or trading

· Data analytics skills and experience

· Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges

· Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously

• Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning, and documentation to support
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail

· Leadership, teambuilding, and mentoring skills

· A clean FINRA U4 and background is required for this position

Technical Qualifications

Experience building products and managing databases using the majority of the following programming languages (and/or the ability to quickly absorb them):

• Languages: C#, C++, React, Go, Python, JavaScript, Java (J2EE), Spring MVC, jQuery, HTML, DOM

· Database: MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle

· Familiarity with CSS, Redis, Linux, Tomcat, Shell

Education Requirements

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

· Master’s degree in engineering a plu

License or Certification Requirements

• Willing to obtain FINRA license a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
