Job Description :
The assignments are project oriented, meaningful to the department and company, allowing co-ops to take responsibility for a major task, and gain experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products
- Translate product requirements into a mechanical specification and test plan to be used for development.
- Execute verification testing as defined by the mechanical specification and test plan.
- Conduct design analysis and testing, both structural and thermal, to prove design will meet customer requirements.
- Responsible for understanding customer needs, generating test procedures and finally executing the test.
- Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required.
- Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
- Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas or similar field of study: Mechanical Engineering.
- Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week.
- Must know and readily understand cast alloys and understand microstructure of castings.
- Must have the ability to analyze data, communicate both verbally and in written formats and manage a variety of tasks at one time.
- Must keep up to date with field and improving technology.
