Melting Supervisor

This position is responsible for the general oversight and operation of a Gray and Ductile Iron Melting Department. The Melt Deck Supervisor position focuses on leading the department and shift(s) to pour iron castings in a safe manner. This position is an integral part of the Foundry, which includes all steps of the production process starting with the pouring of the casting.

Responsibilities to include management of personnel, furnace operations, melt chemistry analysis, furnace relining, and other duties as assigned. This is a working supervisory position. Must understand emergency responses such as power outage, fire in pit, run out, wet charge, alarms and correct safety procedures and identify necessary escape routes.

This position will serve as an integral component of ISO 9001 standards, environmental compliance, and Quality Control.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Melt Deck Department Employees

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of an Associates Degree
• Minimum of three to five years supervisory experience in foundry or furnace operations
• Must have experience in steel melting
• Experience in the operation of induction furnaces
• Previous experience in Gray or Ductile iron operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
