The Jenkins Creative Counseling Center, PLLC is a proud believer in positive psychology and the ability to work past all of life’s curveballs. We employ unique and fun mental health-based therapies for an explorative approach towards healing. We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate fully and/or provisionally licensed mental health clinicians to join our team. We provide services to children, adolescents, couples, families, and individuals, and utilize unique and creative interventions to provide services to our clients.

Major Area of Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients as scheduled.

• To provide therapeutic interventions to provide psychotherapy to identified clients in order to enhance and foster the client’s optimal functioning and interactions in the home and community.

• To provide comprehensive clinical assessments and utilize clinical data to arrive at a clinically supported and valid DSM-5 diagnosis.

• Provide treatment recommendations based on the completion of a thorough assessment.
• Create goals that use consumer’s own words, are based on consumer’s needs, and that have measurable objectives.
• Monitor and document progress of the client in relation to treatment goals and objectives.
• To provide the appropriate documentation for service delivery including treatment goals and progress notes.
• To continually assess client’s needs, service availability and appropriateness.
• To collaborate with other treatment providers with appropriate consent regarding client care

Therapist will maintain any records necessary for the evaluation of service needs and efficiency and ensure that medical records and documentation are clear, accurate and in compliance with legal requirements. Therapist should have knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the deliver of behavioral health care and maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality at all times.

Experience: The candidate should have at least one year of post-graduate experience, working as a mental health professional in a health care setting.

Additional skills required: Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work in a multidisciplinary team. Able to effectively utilize an electronic health record to document client encounters.

Education: Master's Degree in a Human Services field with experinece in the mental health profession.

Certification(s)/Licensure: Must be licensed (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT) or provisionally licensed in the state of North Carolina.'
