Tex Tech Industries, a global company manufacturing over 7,000 products is looking for a confident leader for the position of New Product Development/Research and Develpment Engineer

Tex Tech Industries is a growing global developer and manufacturer of engineered, high-performance materials with sophisticated manufacturing capabilities positioned as a leading supplier to the aerospace, defense, law enforcement, industrial, and sporting goods sectors.

The NPD/R&D Engineer will work with the R & D, Sales and Marketing and NPD teams to identify new business markets and develop new products in the technical textiles field including markets such as: aerospace/outer space, automotive, composites, industrial, filtration and personal protective equipment. The NPD/R&D Engineer will complete new product development from the initial concept phase through to market introduction including product, market, competitive landscape, costing, prototyping of samples, testing and evaluations, designing for manufacturing and scale to production introduction. Some travel is required to customer sites and industry trade shows worldwide. Knowledge of needle-punched non-woven manufacturing processes and woven materials is preferred. A bachelors degree or preferably an advanced degree in textile engineering, materials science, composites or five years experience in a related field. Must be able to direct projects with a work-floor understanding providing hands on expertise with a knowledge of tooling, processes and controls.
