Job Description :

Campus Compact for New Hampshire (CCNH) is seeking two full-time PACE Project Coordinators to work with students at 12 North Country area schools and White Mountains Community College. The positions will begin ASAP.

Focus & Scope of Work

PACE stands for Partnerships for Access to College Education. Our PACE Coordinators will be responsible for developing ongoing services, providing access to resources, and creating a network of support to promote student success. Success factors include college enrollment, persistence, and overall achievement of personal and professional career goals for students in the North Country.

PACE Coordinators will report to the White Mountains Community College Vice President of Student Affairs. Work will include the following elements.

COLLEGE ACCESS:

  • Counsel students toward higher education institutions based on academic interest and career aspirations
  • Work closely with high school counselors, faculty, and administration to provide services to students
  • Work with local and state level workforce development partners to identify current workforce pathways that students may take
  • Work with high school counselors and admissions/transfer counselors at colleges and universities to assist students with applications, financial aid, open houses, campus visits, orientations and other related enrollment activities
  • Plan events such as College Access Conventions, FAFSA Completion Campaigns, career days, parent engagement nights, and more

STUDENT SUCCESS:

  • Evaluate student needs and provide referrals to appropriate student services for further assistance
  • Promote a student success program through the design and development of informational or promotional materials in collaboration with other partners to publicize program services and events
  • Establish and strengthen higher education partnerships with area colleges and universities to develop academic pathways
  • Create community engagement opportunities to support student bonding and investment in their learning experience and network
  • Identify strategies to address basic needs insecurity of students

OTHER:

  • Regular data entry – compiling records of services
  • Expand community partner relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university, with a major in counseling, education, liberal arts, general studies, or a related field, is required. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Three years of experience in an educational setting preferred, with experience in teaching, academic advising, or counseling and the responsibility of providing program information to others.

License/Certification: A valid driver’s license or access to transportation is required.

Other: Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, parents, and partners
  • Strong organizational and writing skills, including proficiency in report writing
  • Experience with higher education and/or partnership development
  • Familiarity with and comfort using technology, including database management
  • Experience with counseling, mentoring, or providing programming for secondary school students, especially underrepresented students
  • Knowledge of New Hampshire resources for students and counselors
  • Ability to make sound judgments in appraising situations and making routine decision
  • Ability to follow instructions in gathering and organizing facts, data, or resources into usable information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
