As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, the Occupational Therapist provides support through direct, provision of individual and group occupational therapy services, as well as consultation and training. Direct services are provided for adults as indicated in the lifeplan.

Responsibilities:

• Provides individual assessments with regard to the occupational therapy needs of our participants.Position is currently via a teletherapy platform, with plans to go back to in person session in Fall 2022.

• Maintains caseload providing individual and group occupational therapy services.
• Maintains efficient and accurate individual and departmental records
• Communicates effectively with participants, families, co-workers, supervisor and treatment plan
• Provide consultative services to program staff regarding student and setting behavioral support and intervention planning
• Utilize internal and external resources to maintain and develop professional skills
• Adheres to departmental/institutional policies, procedures and practices

Requirements:

• Master's in Occupational Therapy
• NYS certification as a registered O.T.
• Developmental Disability experience preferred
• Up to date COVID-19 Vaccination is required for this position.
