Job Title: Operations Support Specialist Reports to: Operations Manager

SUMMARY

• Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Support Specialist will coordinate and administer components of operations conducted by the Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center (CIVOC) to our veteran clients and their families. Responsibilities include: Managing weekly food pantry operations, transportation, loading and unloading of food, furniture, and other goods to and from different locations utilizing organization vehicles. Ordering and picking up food and donation items, maintaining inventories of food and donation items, assistance with management of volunteers, generating reports on duties as assigned, as well as providing support to CIVOC’s veteran client programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Support Specialist performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

Operations Support:

• Oversee the distribution of goods during weekly food pantry operations.
• Conduct weekly food pantry inventory, ensuring that all frozen and dry goods are tracked, stored, and distributed in accordance with applicable state, local, and operational guidelines.
• Utilizing inventory data, conduct bi-weekly ordering and pick-up of goods from local food distribution centers.
• Oversee and maintain an inventory of donation items, as well as traveling to local donors to pick up goods.
• Transportation, loading and unloading of food, furniture, and other goods to and from different locations utilizing organization vehicles.
• Maintain log of volunteer hours worked for assigned programs.
• Generate regular reports on assigned operations and duties.
• Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

• Excellent Communications Skills
• Knowledge of client group and/or issues relating to assigned operations

Other Qualifications

• Valid MA Driver’s License
• Ability to operate large vans/vehicles, to include U-Haul trucks.
• Ability to routinely handle objects weighing up to 50lbs.

• Full Time: 40 hours per week.
• $20.00/hr.
