We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmic Assistant to join our amazing team. Lincoln City Eye Clinic, is an Ophthalmology practice with 4 MDs/Surgeons, an Optometrist and an upscale optical shop. We maintain a high Technician/MD ratio to assure a very high quality of care, patient experience and employee satisfaction. The successful candidate will be positive, motivated and provide a high level of patient service.

Our ideal candidate is experienced, patient focused, and possess a kind and caring personality. We prefer to hire a Certified Ophthalmic Technician/Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, but we are willing to train the right candidate with no medical office experience.

The incumbent must be willing to train in McMinnville and rotate technician shifts in McMinnville.

Duties include:
Record history, chief complaint, medications, etc.
Performs preliminary screening (lensometry, peripheral vision, IOP, color, etc)
Perform diagnostic testing as ordered by MD (OCT, Visual Field, Topography, IOL Master, fundus photography, etc.)
Refraction
Prepare patients for exam
Assist Ophthalmologist in exam and minor surgical procedures
Maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment
Clean/stock rooms
Scribe (record information into EMR)
Return patient phone calls
Perform other related duties

Preferred Qualities:
Medical office experience
Excellent communication skills
Previous experience with EMR
Ability to maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians and staff
Responsible employee with excellent attendance
