• The Department of Pharmacy provides competent pharmaceutical care services to support the treatment of ambulatory and institutional patients in all areas of our organization, including critical care, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, general medicine, surgery, oncology, maternal and perinatal, and pediatrics.
• Pharmaceutical services provided can be broadly categorized as follows:

o Medication-Use Policy Development
o Medication Management and Therapy Optimization
o Product Procurement and Inventory Management
o Medication Preparation, Packaging, and Labeling
o Medication Dispensing and Distribution Logistics
o Medication Use Monitoring
o Professional Education – including Drug Information for Medical Staff, a Pharmacy Residency Program, Pharmacy Student Precepting, and Medical Resident Education
o Patient Medication and Disease State Management Education
o Medication-Use System Quality Assessment and Improvement
o Research
