Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining the Safety & Health standards, actively participating in employee safety training, hazard prevention and control, worksite analysis, and exercising management leadership
• Responsible for conducting pre-job safety reviews with contractors as necessary
• Perform training for both salary and hourly personnel as required
• Oversee MOC process as it relates to the tasks of the position
• Fulfill responsibilities which ensure food safety, legality, and quality
• Perform Millwright Coordinator duties as needed
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel for equipment inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance activities
• Investigate and implement corrective actions for critical and recurrent equipment failures using appropriate failure analysis techniques
• Work with OEM's to develop equipment reliability standards
• Provide technical training to the maintenance department personnel
• Assist in data entry into the CMMS system on new parts, equipment BOM's, and work order completion
• Assist in area shutdowns so that they are properly planned and parts are available
• Implement improvement projects (scope, cost estimation, request capital money, supervision of fieldwork, commissioning)
• Oversee outside contractors as necessary
• Work with plant teams to achieve plant objectives
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Required Education and Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Technology, or bachelor's degree with relevant experience
• 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of industrial maintenance techniques (PM, PDM, RCM, TPM)
• Knowledge of mechanical conveying equipment (screw, drag, & belt conveyor, bucket elevators, dust collectors, rotary valves, centrifugal pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, mills, centrifuges, rotary dryers, and tanks)
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Understanding of good engineering and safety practices
