Cape Assist, a nonprofit agency dedicated to serving Cape May County, NJ for 40 years, is looking for a Prevention Educator to join our team.Cape Assist’s mission is to prevent and treat substance misuse through education, counseling, advocacy, and community collaboration. Cape Assist utilizes evidence-based programs and practices to achieve our mission.

Academic requirements- Bachelor’s Degree or five years in the field of prevention education, Master’s Preferred.

The ideal candidate:

• enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds
• feels a personal connection to our mission
• is comfortable with public speaking/ facilitating programs
• is highly organized and is a team player
• is comfortable using various virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams, MicrosoftOne, etc.)

Responsibilities include:

· Assist in implementing evidence-based programs and practices that support agency goals

· Engage, educate and empower key-stakeholders, youth and community members to encourage the use of evidence-based programs and practices throughout the county

· Assist with program coordination and management

· Participate in community outreach and mobilization

· Prepare and submit required program reports for funders

· Other duties as assigned
