A Primary Care practice in Lake Zurich is looking for a Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine.

Job Summary:

• Assists with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations in hospital and outpatient clinical office
• Mentor for clinical personnel
• Liaison with patients, staff, providers and management
• Can perform as part of a treatment team or independently with or without nurse or MA’s support

Duties would include but not limited to:

• Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications for children and adults with or without a nurse or MA’s support
• Educate patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments
• Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients
• Communicate professionally with patients served regardless of their age
• Provide coverage backup for nurses or medical assistants when needed
• Complete Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant's charting and required paperwork in a timely manner
• Assist physicians in reviewing lab results of patients
• Contribute to Medicare MIPS reporting and quality improvement
• Active participation in the development/review of office policies and procedures.
• Promotes a safety-conscious work force and maintains good housekeeping practices.
• Effectively interface with vendors to evaluate pros/cons of new tests/procedures and contribute to new revenue of the practice
• Flexible in schedule to accommodate changing needs of patients and business.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a master’s degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program.
• Two years of experience in family medicine or internal medicine are required. TIME SPENT ON TRAINING for degree or license requirements IS EXCLUDED.
• Proven excellent Quality and clinical Standards.

Hours:

A part-time position with an opportunity for full-time status.
