New England Research Associates is seeking a licensed MD on a part-time basis to fill the role of principal investigator(PI) to oversee the conduct of clinical research studies for a well established dedicated research site working on new adult and pediatric vaccines and general medicine studies. The PI will be responsible for the general conduct of the studies, will provide oversight to site staff including study coordinators and sub-investigators, will assess severity and causality of adverse events, will perform physical exams on study subjects and review study labs and other test results and will work with site management evaluating protocols and opportunities for new trials. The position will require 2-3 days per week on site with some remote work and an occasional Saturday morning. Prior experience with clinical research is a must.
