Overview:
The position of Product Manager, Wireless is responsible for managing the product set, tactics, and strategies for our in-market products service the Wireless product categories. This position will be responsible for consumer products that elevate the C Spire brand, grow and retain the customer base and generate EBITDA such as Service Plans, Features, Add-on Services, Protection Products, Data Services, Roaming Services, and other ancillary products that support our Wireless line of business. This position will be responsible for managing products featured that our customers use, on our website, mobile web & applications, retail and other customer experience locations. This position must strive to delight customers with products that are uniquely relevant, intuitive and thoughtfully designed. This position must understand and be able to drive consumer demand for C Spire’s consumer products.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and deliver consumer product offerings from the customer’s point of view, for multiple customer demographics focusing on growing the customer base and attachment of add-on products. These products include but are not limited to Service Plans, Features, Add-on Services, Protection Products, Data Services, Roaming Services.
- devices that will be developed utilizing eSIM and other new technologies.
- Manage vendor contracts and relationships, create new to consumer offers and bundles, and maintain cost/margin models for each programming package.
- Provide key input to the overall design and development of all C Spire Wireless products.
- Manage the Wireless line of businesses work processes and work closely with developers and C Spire I.T., Marketing & Brand teams to ensure product experiences and positioning are fully maximized.
- A general understanding of websites, mobile web, apps and retail experiences as well as both device and service technologies like Handsets, Data Hot Spots, Tablets, and new to category
- Take initiative and ownership on all projects and actively pursue various project related tasks with a passionate and energetic approach.
- Elevate C Spire to become a “must-have” brand, while delivering other best in class products to complement our wireless products.
- Coordinate and develop strong communications and relationships with other departments within the organization to ensure product success and KPIs are obtained.
- Be fully trained on and adhere to all marketing processes.
- Prepare status and scorecard reports on the overall health of the portfolio of projects and working queues. This includes full analysis on all metrics of return, cost and engagement, and product level insights.
- Cross train with and support other functional areas within the marketing teams to accomplish the overall strategic goals of the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science or a related business discipline or the equivalent in related work experience is required.
- A minimum of three years of product development or management experience in defining, developing, launching and/or managing products in consumer channels is required, five years preferred.
- Demonstrated successful experience as a product owner leading multiple projects of at least medium complexity simultaneously is required.
- Experience working with wireless sales, operations, handsets and other devices and plans, etc. preferred.
- Must be an innovative thinker, detail oriented and a problem solver that proactively identifies areas for improvements.
- Must have exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately and have strong attention to detail and lead teams without direct authority.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels and cross-functionality.
- Must be able to build and defend financial analyses to support ideas with a drive toward data driven decisions.
- Computer proficiency is necessary with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be passionate about technology, customer experience and providing wireless products and services to customers that provide real value and exceeds customers’ expectations.
