Production Artist / Marketing Assistant

We are seeking an entry-level, onsite graphic designer with proven design experience to join our growing company. This position has a strong focus on art layout and requires knowledge of web design, marketing, product packaging, production, corporate identity, and multimedia design. The right candidate will be a self-starter capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, have a strong eye for detail with the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment, and be a team player with strong communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assessment of art submitted by the customer, offering suggestions for improved results.
• Structuring and layout of customer supplied art on stock and custom templates.
• Responsible for assessing visual aspects such as color, type-face, position, and formatting, to be sure that the text and images appear in a visually enticing design.
• Making required changes pre & post-proof ensuring customers’ requirements are followed.
• Communicating with the sales team and press operators to produce the desired quality product.
• Prepress set-up for digital or screening presses.
• Assisting in the design of custom templates using CAD software and Illustrator.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
• Prioritizing daily tasks to guarantee deadlines are met.
• Assisting with marketing tasks: creating flyers, social media posts and marketing campaigns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A clear understanding of industry-standard design software and terms

Capable of multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment

A keen eye for aesthetics and detail

Effective time management skills with the ability to self-motivate and work methodically

Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of CAD design software is helpful

Experience in Web Design is a bonus

A degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field is required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
