POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a versatile and dynamic Project Manager to support our fast-growing Energy Storage business, home-based in San Antonio, TX. The Project Manager role will encompass the management of all site aspects of projects/programs for the engineering, installation, and commissioning of our state-of-the art electrode manufacturing production lines. The Project Manager will act as a conduit for all project information to ensure the meeting of all critical resources, timelines, and scope. Responsible for managing the day-to-day work of field technicians and contractors, this key person will also manage the coordinating and integrating of activities with customers, vendors, and central engineering. Our successful candidate will have the demonstrated ability to create an effective cadence to project management planning and to communicate complex project situations effectively to the team while embedding lean manufacturing process solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assembles project plans and teamwork assignments, drives completion of tasks as warranted by each project and delivers projects at or above the predicted margin.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
• Leads project meetings and relays pertinent project information to required customers, personnel and outside vendors.
• Creates and manages project schedules to deliver production lines on time, within resource plan, within budget, and adhere to quality standards and customer expectations.
• Identifies project risks and recommends mitigation actions to minimize the likelihood and impact of those risks.
• Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
• Manages scope of project by enforcing proper change controls and documentation.
• Coordinates communication throughout the project life cycle with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort.
• Identifies and leads improvement opportunities within assigned programs/projects.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred.
• 7+ years progressive project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
• Prior managerial/supervisory experience
• 80%+ travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency MS Project, MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
• Solid understanding and application of engineering concepts
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
