Our facility is hiring one part-time Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. The position is initially for Saturdays (minimum 6 hour shift) with the opportunity to add more hours during the week with the benefit of a flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle. You will be working in the office, located close to Downtown Austin.

You will be seeing adult patients and will be completing diagnostic evalutations, mediation management follow-ups, and computer-based ADHD testing (you will be trained on this). A supervising physician will be provided for you.

The ideal candidate will be a professional with a strong background in psychiatry who has experience working with adults, has great bedside manner, is detail-oriented, and dependable.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose physical, as well as mental, ailments.
• Facilitate treatment compliance with patients.
• Educate patients, families, and other medical personnel on psychiatric care.
• Perform brief psychotherapy, including talk therapy and short-term therapy with medication management.
• Manage the patient's drug regimen in collaboration with a supervising physican as needed.
• Maintain and manage charts and records on patients.

Pay: $73.00 - $84.00 per hour
