Job Summary:

The Quality Manager will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate and drive improvement of the Quality Department activities to ensure the organization’s quality program operates at a high level from raw materials to finished products by meeting or exceeding quality, regulatory, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization to meet the requirements of customers, consumers, and regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and systems to ensure the consistency and reliability of all products.
• Conduct regular audits of all production processes to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the laboratory testing of raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, and other departments to continuously improve quality systems and processes.
• Develop and refine SOP's and an effective training program for all employees to ensure their understanding of quality procedures and requirements.
• Manage the resolution of customer complaints and non-conformances, working with other departments to implement corrective actions.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the quality control department and supervisory staff.
• Train Quality Team as necessary and validate their work periodically.
• Perform annual performance reviews that are timely and productive and develop training plans with direct reports.
• Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
• Ensure staff are provided with corporate communications.
• Ensure staff questions/concerns are communicated to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality management in a nutraceutical or food manufacturing plant
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and 21 CFR 211
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage a team of quality technicians.
• Must be strong executor willing to work hard and hustle
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory testing software.
