Basic Job Description

We are looking for a quality control manager/ field supervisor for our family-owned roofing company.

The right individual will work closely with the owner of the company and a tight-knit team of employees. You will work with construction crews and help with serving our customers out in the field.

Responsibilities:

Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with customers, personnel and the public.

Provide communication and coordination between the job site and the production manager.

Visit job sites daily.

Schedule materials equipment and deliveries, paying special attention to using inventoried materials.

Manage project process through to completion.

Monitor material usage, minimize waste and anticipate shortages.

Supervise field activities and oversee subcontractors.

Monitor quality of installations. Perform quality control checks during and after project completion.

Supervise 1-3 roofing crews. Ensuring that the information flow and instructions needed to complete the job is shared and ensure that the process is efficient.

Update job progress and workflow in the company's production management program.

Ensure all work is completed in a craftsman like manner and meets code requirements.

Deliver excellent customer service.

Engage with customers to answer questions and provide explanations.

Manage and coordinate job details between the field and the production manager.

Review completed project files and turn in for final billing.

Perform project close-out process.

Pick up trash or run magnet again if necessary

Look for punch items for crew to go back and fix

Requirements:

Reliable.

Can work well under pressure.

Maintain and organize all required documentation.

Detail oriented.

Highly organized.

Demonstrate willingness to be a team player.

Offer assistance and expertise to others.

Ability to climb a ladder and walk on roofs.

Ability to lead.

Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.

Moderate technological skills to operate our company CRM program.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to use ladders, work at heights of two stories or less, standing and walking on roofs, lift up to 50 pounds.
