What Will You Do?

As a Quality Control Technician, you will join the quality control team to provide a high degree of expertise regarding the in-process and final inspection of a variety of electrical, machined, manufactured, and fabricated components. You will work with the QA/QC Team, Engineering, Purchasing, and Account Management to ensure conformance of finished goods, raw material and in process work to company, national and customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• First article parts from vendors, engineering, electrical build areas
• Record results of inspections by part number, serial number and work order number in a quality checklist and maintain a quality log for products inspected
• Utilize standard electrical instruments and computer software to conduct testing including power supplies, hipot testers, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters to verify specifications and functionality
• Assist with UL certification audits and preform internal audits of electrical assembly program
• Dimensionally inspect raw material and finished parts to drawings and applicable documentation using precision measuring tools, gauges, and other required tooling
• Document non-conformances and assist with root cause, corrective and preventative action development and implementation
• Provides mentorship and support to team members in and out of the quality department

Skills Integral to the Job:

• Passionate about training less experienced personnel and professional growth
• Capable of reading plans, drawings, schematics, specifications, and work orders to determine inspection needs
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
• Knowledge of UL 508a panel shop
• Self-motivated, self-directed, while possessing a team player

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 4 years of Quality Control and/or Assurance within manufacturing, fabrication, or applicable field required
• 2 years related electrical inspection required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting, standing, or walking
• Work conditions may include areas of restricted movement, air contamination, intense noise, and hazardous materials
• Must be able to regularly lift to 75 pounds at once
