An international automotive parts manufacturer in the La Salle, IL area is seeking a Quality Engineer.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

• Identify root-cause of quality problems and implement corrective actions
• Ensure quality requirements are met by reviewing manufacturing, testing, and supplier documentation
• Provide support to Customer Service, Engineering, and Purchasing departments
• Monitor and report cost of quality corrections
• PPAP, PFMEA, and control plan

Quality Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or equivalent experience
• Experience with quality assurance or quality control in a manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with TS/IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and PPAP/APQP documentation is a plus
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
• Be prepared to interview in person upon request

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
