Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Quality Supervisor for our plant located in Ft. Worth, TX. As a Quality Supervisor, you will coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the Quality Inspectors.

What you will do:

• Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion
• Coordinate work activities with other Supervisors and QC Leads
• Attend morning production meetings and other meetings as necessary
• Complete training of new hires and coordinate NDT training with the ASNT Level III
• Provide training to other team members as needed, focusing on consistency of inspections
• Inform management of any quality issues in a timely manner; initiate or ensure NCR’s meet MUS procedures
• Solve a broad range of problems varying in scope and complexity
• Complete root cause investigations and ensure corrective measures and actions are implemented per MUS procedures/work instructions
• Typically, does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised.
• Make decisions guided by policies, procedures, customer requirements and business plant; receives guidance and oversight from Quality Assurance Manager
• Ensure team preparedness for AISC, NDT, weld and customer audits
• Work with 3rd party and customer inspectors scheduling, coordinating inspections and escorting as needed
• Maintain/facilitate calibration program - tapes, levels, weld gauges, etc.
• Ensure UT program is up to date (internal reflectors, dB accuracy reports, integrity reports)
• Maintain an inventory of the tools needed such as couplant, MT powder, UT cables and gauges

What you'll need:

• Associates degree or equivalent experience
• 3 years related experience (metal/steel industry preferred)
• CWI certification preferred; experience inspecting to AWS D1.1 required
• UT/MT/VT Level II Certifications preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
